Human
beings walk upright, and not on all four limbs, and as a result the
lower back carries most of the body's weight. Because the stress involved
with twisting, turning, lifting, and bending are concentrated in the
lower back, this is the part of the spine that is most likely to be
injured and become a source of pain. Many people who suffer from back
problems are experiencing mechanical pain, which means that a specific
part of their spine, such as an intervertebral disc, a ligament, or a
joint, is damaged and is not working correctly.
In
addition, depression, anxiety, frustration, reinforcement, stress,
anger, fear and many other psychological states can help to cause the
onset of back pain, it can be a reaction to prolonged pain, or exist
concurrently with pain.
CORRECT YOUR POSTURE
Not
maintaining good posture and adequate back support can add strain to
muscles and puts extra pressure on the spine. Over time, the stress of poor
posture can change the anatomical characteristics of the spine, leading
to the possibility of constricted blood vessels and compressed nerves, as well as
problems with muscles, discs and joints. All of these can be major
contributors to back and neck pain, as well as headaches, fatigue, and
possibly even concerns with major organs and breathing.
The
following bad habits are especially common when sitting in an office
chair for long periods of time.
-
Slumping forward while sitting in an office chair
-
Not
making use of the office chair’s lumbar back support and armrest
-
Sliding
forward on the seat of the office chair
Correct
posture is a simple but very important way to keep the many intricate
structures in the back and spine healthy. It is much more than
cosmetic—good posture and back support are critical in reducing the
incidence and levels of back pain and neck pain. Back support is
especially important for those who spend many hours sitting in an office
chair or standing throughout the day.

Testimonials
"My wife, Leela Ananthanarayanan, was suffering from
acute back pain as well as pain in her left limb arising
out of the L 4+5 disc problem. A friend
suggested to my wife she could try acupressure and
recommended her case to Dr. Mahesh Agrawal of TSW
Mahipalpur as he has cured persons with similar problem.
Just after two sitting she felt
better. The numbness in her feet disappeared. Earlier
she could not sit even for a short time and found it
painful. As the treatment continued she found that she
could sit for a longer duration and feel no pain. Her
back pain also disappeared and she could roll on her
back. She was limping earlier while walking. Now she is
able to walk straight without any support."-
