According to a
new report by PricewaterhouseCoopers, expanding
waistlines of employees are most likely to show up in
profit margins. As work becomes more sedentary the
global workforce is becoming less healthy and
consequently less productive due to chronic conditions
such as heart disease and diabetes. The report
identifies chronic disease as a growing and costly
threat to corporations and their workers. The projected
foregone national income for India due to heart disease,
stroke and diabetes during the period 2005-2015 is
estimated to be more than $200 billion. The report
exhorts global CEOs to make wellness central to their
corporate business strategy, suggesting that
multinational employers have the best opportunity to
prevent chronic disease.
With its
exclusive products and services, T. Spiritual World aims
to create a novel position for itself in the Health &
Wellness market which is worth Rs. 2500 crore and is
clocking a healthy growth rate of 25%. The Company has

community and created awareness for a healthier
corporate lifestyle. The Company is currently
negotiating with several clients for long term contracts
for its wellness services and expects to materialize
them within the first quarter of FY08. The Company is
also negotiating with corporates for its Corporate
Wellness Kit, launched in April 2007, and expects to
receive orders for the coming festival season.
